Search

There are more types of searching in Produs IT.

The so called Quick search, which is also most commonly used, searches within the whole system, while the others search in separate modules and even within one separate module. You can read more about searching below.

When searching within the modules the system will retain criteria of the last search so be careful to empty the search field before starting a new search.

Quick Search

Quick Search can be found on the left, among utilities.

Here you can search for records in all modules. You can search them by titles, numbers, and some of them by content.

You can also search by entering only the beginning of the searched record. If we are searching for John Winston, writing „win“ will be enough for the Contact to be found.
If the words you are searching for are not entirely known to you, use the „%“ sign. When you are not sure whether a Contact's surname in Smithson or Smithsen, just search for „Smiths%n“.

ABC Search

We spoke about global search, which searches for records in the entire system. There are three other types of search within every module. One of them is ABC Search. When you click on individual letter, all the records starting with that letter will be listed. If you search within the Accounts module, all Accounts starting with selected letter will be listed. If you search within the Contacts module, all the Contacts, starting with that letter will be listed.

The system will only search in records of the chosen overview. If the „Promising Accounts“ is turned on, the system will only search for records within that overview.

Basic Search

Basic Search is another type of search within a separate module. Search is possible in every overview of every module. Basic search is shown on the image below.

This search is limited to defined data, such as customer's name, place, web page and telephone number if we are in Accounts module.

The system will only search in records of the chosen overview. If the „Promising Accounts“ is turned on, the system will only search for records within that overview.

Advanced Search

There is also an Advanced Search within every particular module. It can be found below the basic search at the top of the page. When you click the Advanced Search button, a new page will open and you can search in all fields of this module. The picture below is an example of advanced search in Accounts module.

The Advanced Search proves to be very useful in creating temporary overviews that can also be exported to your PC.
